Halter and Lead Set

Halter and Lead Set

100% NZ made, these are of high-quality materials and crafted to the highest standard.

The quality of the rope will give you the best possible rope weight to give you a beautiful feel when working with your horse.

All ends are properly spliced and then sewn for extra strength – no nasty cut and burnt rope ends with our products.

The lead rope core is guaranteed not to pull away from the end of the rope – and quality leather is used for the poppers.

The lead ropes are made slightly longer than 12ft to accommodate the natural shortening and thickening of the rope as it ages.

Long enough to be tied into reins if desired.

The halter is made to a specific template that we have designed from years of trial and error with halter fit.

Our halters are designed to fit snugly and comfortably in the throat of the horse to promote straightness and correct postural alignment when working with your horse on the ground.

The end splice on the halter is stitched for added durability.

The Dromgool Horsemanship Rope Halter and Lead has been developed after a lot of trials to find the the right combination of rope weight and positioning of the halter to ensure you have the best possible feel when you are working with your horse.

Ken and Jane are particular about where the halter sits on the horse and believe it should be fitted so the throat latch sits neatly in the throat - it is important that it doesn't sit on the jowl as this causes crookedness in your lateral work which in turn causes issues with straightness.

Ken makes all our Halters and Leads himself to our exact measurements.

This halter design has been found to fit most horses and is shipped with the knots loose so that it can be easily adjusted to suit your horse.
